Australian Design for Gallery Shops & Independent Retailers
There is a particular pleasure in finding an object you haven't seen everywhere else.

Something with presence. Something you want to pick up, turn over in your hand and ask who made it.
For gallery shops, museum stores and independent design retailers, those discoveries matter. They are the pieces that give a collection its point of view.
Guseli Design is an independent Australian design studio creating sculptural jewellery and functional objects in small batches from Hervey Bay, Queensland. Founded by Australian artist and designer Kim Guseli, the studio explores the territory between sculpture, jewellery and useful object, creating pieces intended to be worn, held, used and lived with.
Contemporary Australian design, made by hand
The work begins with form.
In the studio, new pieces are developed through a physical process of sculpting, mould-making and casting. Original forms are shaped by hand before newer works are moulded and individually hand-cast in mineral composite.
Each piece is then sanded and finished by hand.
It is a slow transformation from raw material into a finished object, and the process leaves something behind that mass production cannot quite replicate: variation.
Pigment moves differently through every cast. Veins widen, disappear and reappear. A sweep of colour that settles in one place on one piece may travel somewhere entirely different on the next.
The colour palette remains recognisably Guseli Design, but the pattern belongs to that particular piece.
No two are identical.
Sculptural jewellery for gallery and museum shops
The Guseli Design jewellery collection includes sculptural bangles and rings with bold silhouettes and mineral-like marbling.
Rather than conventional jewellery forms, the pieces draw from sculpture, geology, architecture and the shapes of objects. They are designed to have presence on the body, but also to be compelling when displayed as objects in their own right.

For gallery shops, museum stores and design-led retailers seeking contemporary Australian jewellery, wearable art or small-batch Australian design, the collection offers something deliberately outside the familiar.
These are pieces for customers who don't necessarily want another version of something they already own.
They want the thing they haven't encountered before.
Australian design objects for home, desk and display
Alongside jewellery, Guseli Design creates small sculptural and functional objects.

The collection moves from vessels, trays and sculptural forms to the Lithic desk series, where everyday functions such as holding a phone, resting a pen or weighting a page become an opportunity to introduce form and materiality into the workspace.
The scale is intimate.
These aren't objects designed to dominate a room. They reward proximity: the curve of an edge, a polished surface, the movement of pigment through the material, the satisfying weight of something made to be handled.
Displayed together, the jewellery and objects speak the same visual language.
That cohesion makes the collection particularly suited to curated gallery shops, museum stores, cultural retail spaces and independent design stores where individual pieces need to stand alone while still forming part of a considered retail story.
Small-batch Australian design with a story behind it
There is a human scale to Guseli Design.
The work is created in regional Queensland rather than moving through a large production chain. Pieces are made in small batches, individually finished and sent from the studio.
For retailers, that means the story behind the work is real and remarkably simple to tell:
An Australian artist.
A regional studio.
Original sculptural forms.
Hand-cast pieces.
Natural variation.
Small-batch production.
And a finished object that carries evidence of how it came into being.
That provenance matters increasingly in stores where customers want to know not only what they are buying, but who designed it, where it came from and why it exists.
Made for considered retail spaces
Guseli Design is particularly suited to retailers that curate rather than simply fill shelves.
The collection is available to selected:
Gallery shops
Museum and cultural stores
Contemporary design stores
Independent boutiques
Art and design retailers
Museum and gallery gift stores
The work is already represented through selected Australian gallery and cultural retail spaces, placing Guseli Design within a growing network of destinations that champion Australian artists, designers and makers.
For a small independent studio, those relationships matter.
A piece sitting in a gallery shop hundreds of kilometres from the studio becomes an introduction. Someone sees it for the first time, picks it up, feels its weight and discovers the person who made it.
That is one of the great pleasures of working with stockists.
Australian wholesale for galleries, museums and independent retailers
Guseli Design welcomes wholesale and trade enquiries from selected Australian retailers looking for distinctive contemporary Australian jewellery and design objects.
The collection is particularly suited to buyers seeking Australian-made and small-batch work with a strong visual identity, an artist-led story and enough individuality to feel special within a curated store.
Wholesale ordering is available across selected Guseli Design collections, with pieces chosen to create a cohesive presentation across jewellery and objects.
For gallery shop buyers, museum store buyers, design retailers and independent stockists interested in carrying Guseli Design, current wholesale information and trade enquiries are available through the Guseli Design Trade page.
Become a Guseli Design stockist
The right stockist relationship is more than somewhere to put an object on a shelf.
It is a meeting of perspectives: a retailer who knows their audience, an artist who knows their work, and the possibility that somewhere between the two, a person encounters an object they weren't looking for and cannot quite leave behind.
Guseli Design is currently welcoming enquiries from selected gallery shops, museum stores, cultural retailers and independent design stores across Australia.
Explore the current collection, discover existing Guseli Design stockists, or enquire about becoming a Guseli Design stockist through the Trade page.
Because the best objects don't simply fill a space.
They give it character.
