The Lithic Sculptural Weight is a small, tactile sculpture created for the desk, the hand, and those moments when doing nothing for a moment is precisely the point.
 
Hand-cast in mineral composite, its softly irregular form sits somewhere between found stone and miniature sculpture. Organic veining moves across every surface, following the curves and contours of the piece so that no two will ever exist in quite the same way.
 
Use it as a beautifully substantial paperweight. Pick it up while thinking, reading or talking. Turn it in your hand and notice a different line, surface or detail. Or simply allow it to inhabit your desk as an object that needs no purpose beyond being beautiful.
 
There is something wonderfully analogue about its presence beside the screens, cables and machinery of contemporary life. A little weight. A little stillness. Something made to be touched.
 
Each Lithic Sculptural Weight is individually cast and finished by hand in the Guseli Design studio in Queensland, Australia.
